Facebook

Facebook is the social network most people already have an account on. The feed brings together posts from friends, family, Pages and Groups you follow, with photos, Reels and Stories alongside. Profiles, events and reminders make it a place to keep track of people and plans, and Marketplace covers buying and selling locally.

Groups are where much of the activity now happens, from neighbourhood noticeboards to hobby communities, each with its own rules and moderators. Live video, Watch and Reels cover entertainment, and Messenger, which is a separate app, handles private chat. Privacy controls let you choose who sees each post and what is shared with apps.

Facebook is free and needs an account. This build is about 126 MB and follows Meta's regular release schedule, so updating keeps fixes and security patches current.
