Mindustry: tower defence where the supply chain is the real opponent
Turrets are easy. Keeping them fed while everything scales is the actual game.

Mindustry looks like a tower defence game and plays like a factory game wearing one as a disguise. The turrets are trivial to place. Keeping them supplied is not.
Failure happens upstream
When a defence collapses, the cause is rarely the turret. It is a conveyor that backed up, a power grid that browned out, or a smelter starved of one input three steps earlier. Debugging that chain is the core loop, and it is genuinely satisfying when a rebuilt section finally holds.
Scale arrives quickly
Early maps are forgiving enough to teach the vocabulary. Later ones expect parallel production lines and deliberate routing, and a layout that worked at small scale usually has to be torn up rather than extended.
Worth knowing
There is a campaign as well as multiplayer, so it works both as a solo puzzle and as something to build cooperatively. It is licensed under GPL-3.0. Our download button links to the official F-Droid page.
