About Tor Browser
Tor Browser is the Android edition of the browser published by The Tor Project, the non-profit behind the Tor anonymity network. Every page you open is relayed through three volunteer-run servers around the world, so the sites you visit see the address of the last relay instead of yours, and your internet provider can see that you use Tor but not which sites you open.
The browser is based on Firefox's extended-support release and is set up to make every user look alike: it blocks third-party trackers, resists fingerprinting, and wipes cookies and history when you close it. A security-level setting lets you switch off risky web features such as JavaScript on sites that do not need it, and built-in bridges help you connect where Tor is censored.

How to install Tor Browser
- Tap the download button on this page to get the official Tor Browser APK (arm64, about 110 MB) from The Tor Project's server.
- Open the file and, if Android asks, allow installs from your browser or file manager.
- Tap Install, open Tor Browser and tap Connect; use Configure connection to choose a bridge if Tor is blocked where you are.
- This build is for 64-bit ARM phones (almost all current devices) and needs Android 5.0 or newer. It does not update itself when installed this way; come back to this page for new versions.
